Mr Grey has been for nine years in the Police Force, and his promotion out of the Force gives a step in each of his different grades. As there had been no promotion for some time, I was glad to avail myself of the opportunity of giving this appointment to Mr Grey, who had been longer in Government Service than any other of the Candidates. He will receive free quarters.
